About the Role:


Pedalheads is seeking a Manager, Soccer Operations, to lead Soccer Programs across the Lower Mainland. Reporting to the Director, Soccer, you will successfully manage day-to-day operations.



Pedalheads prides itself on delivering robust program excellence, exceptional safety standards and personalized customer service, while achieving continued revenue growth year over year. We are looking for a leader to uphold and surpass these standards.



Working with cross-functional departments you will build and strengthen our full-time & part-time soccer teams, whilst managing consistency and excellence across multiple facilities.



You are a natural communicator and enjoy developing and strengthening internal and external relationships.



Work schedule



This is a full-time position. A typical work week for Manager, Soccer Operations would be Tuesday through Saturday and does include evenings and weekends. This is subject to change with operational needs.



Duties and responsibilities 



Business Operations 


Provide strategic management of full cycle day-to-day operations of our soccer programs across our lower mainland locations.

Grow revenue by driving sales and business results through premium customer experience, employee relations, and detail-orientated operations

Ensures the highest standards of safety at all locations

Liaison with field rental organisations to secure permits and ensure ongoing opportunities

Maintain a premium experience for environment and atmosphere in all facilities

Coaching


Deliver sessions, camps and classes to participants aged between 2-18 years of age

Manage games, tournaments for participants 5+


Leadership 


Provides leadership, direction, and support to all Site Managers and coaches

Document procedures, identify problems, work with the Director, Soccer to develop and adapt those procedures

Program Development 


Acts as a trusted communicator, staying informed on program offerings, policies, and changes, and ensuring all key information is shared with your team and applied at each facility

Work with the Director, Soccer and collaborate on training to ensure high standard of programming across all fields.

Take care of inventory checks on a regular basis. Ensuring all fields are equipped with what they need, ordering equipment and merchandise for all Pedalheads locations

Support and execute curriculum development to ensure the continuing growth of our high-quality programming

Complete administrative duties including answering phones and emails, taking program registrations, payments and communicating with the other teams when needed

Assist with hiring and scheduling where needed

Supports the building of relationships within the communities and leverage these relationships to promote growth of the Pedalheads brand  


Customer Service 


Provide excellent customer service initiate and monitor customer feedback, including customer satisfaction and NPS score

Engage families on an ongoing basis regarding special events and other Pedalheads Programs, camps and lessons

Has an empathetic approach to customers, being an active listener, acknowledging their concerns and being able to action upon them with care and deliberation

Provides excellent customer service and takes ownership of elevated customer issues, always aiming to find the best possible solutions, delivered in the best possible way. 

Reviews and analyzes customer satisfaction scores to identify patterns and trends, providing support and guidance to your team to act where required. 

Analyzes performance in quality and efficiency, and drives improvements to meet strategic goals

Qualifications 



A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a team in an operations environment, tourism, hospitality, recreation or child and youth programming  

A minimum of 3 years’ experience coaching soccer to children and youth

A minimum of 3 years’ experience with customer service and customer relations    

A high proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software  

Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to move between locations as needed

Post secondary education; an undergraduate degree in business, operations, management, recreation, tourism or a combination of education and experience

Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends

Assets 


Experience working in recreation, children’s programming, hospitality, and/or the restaurant industry 

Experience with ADP Workforce Now, scheduling, approving hours 

Experience managing large teams (40+) 

Experience in prospecting and/or sales   

Previous experience with CRM  



PAY AND PERKS 



The successful candidate will be paid an annual salary of $60,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience, based on a 40-hour work week, (Tuesday- Saturday) and does include evenings and weekends.
