JOB SUMMARY: An employee hired to assist the administration in the supervision of students in and around the school during the regularly scheduled lunch hour, who is responsible to an assigned supervisor.
POSITION: Temporary to June 24, 2026
HOURS OF WORK: 11:55 - 12:55 = 1 hr/day M-F
Ten months per year position. When school is in session for students.
WAGE RATE: As per C.U.P.E Local 4165 Agreement $24.52

Qualifications Required
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum six months' training or volunteer experience working with children in a group setting.
- WCB Level 1 First Aid training or equivalent.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate good judgment and appropriate intervention techniques regarding student behaviour.
- Be self-directed, flexible and work independently.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive manner with students and the public to contribute to the "tone" of the school.
- Work with disagreeable and/or hostile conditions.
- Be a role model for students. 8. Solve problems related to the position.
- Assist in the supervision and safety of students in and around the school during the scheduled noon-hour break.
- Maintain a high degree of visibility.
- Maintain appropriate discipline.
- Provide first alert and appropriate action for accidents and other potentially serious and/or dangerous situations, such as fights.
- Report immediately all safety and discipline issues that require the attention of the supervisor or designate.
- Administer first aid according to the level of qualification required.
- Perform other job-related duties.
