Mandatory Requirements
- Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate Division
- French as a Second Language Part 1
- Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division
- Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
- Proficient fluency in French Language
- Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge and experience in implementing structured literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
- An understanding of effective strategies for the implementation of the Framework for French-As-A- Second Language in Ontario schools K-12
- Understanding and experience implementing an action oriented approach to FSL instruction
- Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction
- Appreciation for the French culture and a willingness to engage students in cultural activities that will enrich their educational experience
- Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
- Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY.
- Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
- Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
- Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset
- Special Education Part 1 would be an asset.
