Key Responsibilities
- Analyze documents, drawings, specifications, proposals, addendums in preparation for resources and cost estimates.
- Perform site visits, participate in person workshops .
- Obtain inputs from operations and s upport the team in preparing quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications, as applicable.
- Aid in the estimate creation – labour, equipment, material, rentals, and subcontracts, including obtaining pricing from suppliers and subcontractors as well as validation with benchmarks.
- Work directly with ALICE Technologies solution, an Artificial Intelligence software for planning and estimating.
- Perform estimate related oral and/or written communications with project teams, partners and clients.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities to ensure the development and communication of the estimate outputs, as required.
- Stationed on major project as required.
- Assists with Prequalification submissions, RFQs and RFIs as required.
- Administrative duties to support the estimating department, including the creation and maintenance of inquiries log, assumptions log, change log, as well as tidiness of the estimating plans room.
- Maintains files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
- Performs Post Bid / Post Project Analysis completion, and that associated learning and communication takes place.
- Protects all forms of proprietary information.

- Up to 4 years of experience within the construction industry and within an estimating department.
- Engineering Degree preferred. College Diploma, Trades Background – or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and contract documents.
- Tehcnology savvy with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with estimating software, SAP and Primavera P6 is considered an asset.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
- Capability to work both independently and within a team environment.

- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain strict qualifications to personally pass security clearances as required, including for police and Federal agencies regarding tender and construction contracts.
- Conduct and complete specialized training as required.
- Must possess a valid drivers license.
