Business Analyst – Network Segmentation (Security)

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Business Analyst who will support program-level governance and documentation, including maintaining charters, project plans, SOPs, and performance metrics. They will capture and document requirements for network segmentation and visibility initiatives, track dependencies, escalate risks, and contribute to baseline standards.
Responsibilities:
• Program-Level: Populate and maintain Charter, PMP, Governance Framework, and PDDs; maintain traceability across success measures; define/track KPIs and KRIs; support governance alignment; draft SOPs and transition documentation.
• Network Segmentation & Visibility (NS&V): Document data flows and segmentation strategies; capture requirements for NAC and visibility tools; track dependencies; escalate adoption risks; contribute to baseline network standards.
Other Workstreams:
• Vulnerability Mgmt: Document SLAs, workflows, and reporting.
• Endpoint Security (EDR/XDR): Capture deployment and integration requirements.
• SIEM: Support log onboarding, threat use case documentation, and reporting.
• Data Protection: Document encryption, classification, and discovery policies.
• Security Awareness & Training: Support role-based modules, KPIs/KRIs.
• Cloud Security: Capture requirements for Azure remediation, IAM, and encryption posture.
Qualifications:
Core Competencies:
• Program Development: Supports mobilization, governance frameworks, and documentation (Charters, PMPs, PDDs); ensures traceability of success measures; skilled at RAID logs, resourcing, and benefits frameworks.
• IT Network & Cybersecurity: Strong grounding in network initiatives (segmentation, NAC, Zero Trust, monitoring); able to document data flows, standards, and architecture with SMEs; familiar with NIST CSF and privacy/security obligations (FOIPPA, PIPEDA, STRA, PIA).
• Business Analysis & Change: Skilled in requirements elicitation, workshops, and documentation (SOPs, RAID, RACI, process maps); bridges SMEs with operational and executive audiences.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years BA experience in Cybersecurity or related programs (infrastructure, networking, cloud, data governance, compliance, healthcare IT).
• Proven success in program documentation and network/security initiatives (segmentation, NAC, Zero Trust).
• Skilled in workshops, stakeholder engagement, and translating SME input into structured deliverables.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools; nice-to-have: Microsoft security stack (Sentinel, Defender, Purview), Forescout.
• This BA will act as the program’s documentation engine and governance enabler, a critical partner for IT Network requirements, and structured support across all cybersecurity workstreams.
• Travel: may be required
