What will you contribute?
Reporting to the Head of Quality Engineering, the QA Engineer will work closely with development engineering and product development teams to understand the performance and other non-functional requirements on projects. This position requires a highly motivated individual that is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and a fluid environment. The successful candidate should be detail-oriented, approachable, dependable, and reliable with good business sense and judgment. This position requires a self-starter with the ability to manage & prioritize multiple concurrent automation and performance testing projects.

Responsibilities & Deliverables
Your deliverables as a QA Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver against performance engineering goals
- Execute Performance Engineering and Testing activities leveraging Agile methodology
- Create, re-factor, extend, and maintain performance test scripts.
- Help determine appropriate metrics to be gathered during performance testing and be responsible for analyzing and tracking against these performance testing metrics on an ongoing basis.
- Help determine appropriate benchmarks for performance and be responsible for analysis and tracking against these benchmarks.
- Perform manual testing on both front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (API, database) components.
- Assist in driving the performance, scalability, and capacity testing strategy.
- Use tools like Postman or Swagger for back-end/API testing.
- Collaborate with development and production support teams on identification of bottlenecks and performance tuning.
- Benchmark Production and Test Labs for base lining and ensure accuracy of test simulation
- Log defects in Jira with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, and severity levels.
- Retest resolved issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in triage meetings to prioritize bugs.
- Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide updates on testing progress and raise blockers early
- Experience writing and executing manual test cases.
- Experience working within a fast-paced Agile/SCRUM system is a strong preference
- Ability to document clear, reproducible bug reports with screenshots and steps to reproduce.
- Understanding of severity and priority levels
- Familiarity with databases and ability to run simple queries (e.g., SQL SELECT statements).
- Exposure to version control systems like Git (even at a basic level).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and take feedback.
- Proactive in identifying issues and suggesting improvements.
