Project Manager

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing renovation, construction, and technology lifecycle projects, with a strong focus on early project phases such as schematic design, requirements gathering, planning, and coordination. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of small to mid-scale projects, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs, budgets, and timelines.
Responsibilities:
• Project Transition & Coordination: Take ownership of existing projects and ensure smooth handover.
• Planning & Design Oversight: Support schematic development, initial design phases, and stakeholder coordination.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, consultants, and contractors.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain project documentation, provide progress updates, and align with PMO standards.
• Risk & Budget Awareness: Monitor potential risks, track funding dependencies, and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Proven Project Management background with demonstrated success delivering construction and facilities-related projects.
• Familiarity with capital planning, renovations, and lifecycle replacement projects in institutional or public sector settings.
• Experience working with and supporting Indigenous communities and partners considered a strong asset.
• Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balance competing priorities, and drive progress in early project stages.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
