City: North Vancouver, BC
Contract type: Full time

Job Description
Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards, located in North Vancouver, is gearing up for an exciting and dynamic year. We are proudly constructing two 174-meter-long Joint Support Ships (JSS) for the Royal Canadian Navy—the longest naval ships ever built in Canada. Alongside this, we are completing the Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel for the Canadian Coast Guard, their largest and most advanced science vessel to date.
We have also start working on the Canadian Coast Guard’s new heavy Polar Icebreaker, one of the world’s largest and most complex icebreakers. These landmark projects, combined with the design, engineering, and construction of additional vessels for Canada in the years ahead, promise decades of long-term job stability and growth in the shipbuilding industry.
The pipe trades have a significant role in the shipbuilding industry. Ships of this size and complexity rely on a variety of piping and mechanical systems to operate and function while navigating the open oceans. To satisfy this demand, Seaspan is currently seeking Journeyperson Steamfitters with industrial construction experience. Now is the best time to be part of Canada’s shipbuilding industry! Join us and be part of the regeneration of the shipbuilding tradition and become a member of a talented, diverse team that is forging a bright future for Canadian shipbuilding at one of the most modern shipyards in North America.
