We are currently looking for an Outside Sales Representative, specializing in electric motor sales.


What you will be doing:


The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business, maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts, and providing technical support as needed. Based out of our Edmonton location, this role emphasizes face-to-face engagement with customers across industries such as oil & gas, mining, utilities, food processing, and heavy manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:



  • New Business Development: Identify, pursue, and secure new customers across target industries.

  • Territory Sales: Develop and manage a sales plan for Edmonton and surrounding regions, ensuring consistent call cycles and proactive account engagement.

  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, challenges, and future opportunities.

  • Sales Presentations: Deliver professional product and service presentations to decision-makers at customer sites and industry events.

  • Account Planning: Maintain and update account plans, ensuring customer needs are met and future sales opportunities identified.

  • Market Awareness: Monitor competitors and industry trends, sharing insights with management to guide strategy.

  • Opportunity Management: Track quotes, proposals, and opportunities in CRM, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.

  • Collaboration: Partner with internal operations, shop, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

What we need from you:



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in outside sales, with a proven track record of growth.

  • Industry experience in electric motors, motor repair services, or industrial technical sales.

  • Technical background preferred — post-secondary in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Diploma, or Trade (motor winding an asset).

  • Strong customer service orientation with ability to prospect and build long-term relationships.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience preferred.

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License; willingness to travel throughout Western Canada.

  • High regard for safety and integrity.
