Position Overview: The Enterprise Architect will join the Project Management Office (PMO) in an advisory capacity to guide delivering initiatives outlined in the RFQ scope. This role is responsible for assessing the current technology landscape, developing target state architectures, and creating governance frameworks that align with industry best practices and organizational constraints. The Enterprise Architect will provide strategic recommendations, oversee roadmap development, and support capability building to ensure sustainable enterprise architecture practices across the organization.

Position Overview: The Enterprise Architect will join the Project Management Office (PMO) in an advisory capacity to guide delivering initiatives outlined in the RFQ scope. This role is responsible for assessing the current technology landscape, developing target state architectures, and creating governance frameworks that align with industry best practices and organizational constraints. The Enterprise Architect will provide strategic recommendations, oversee roadmap development, and support capability building to ensure sustainable enterprise architecture practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a current state assessment of IT infrastructure, applications, data flows, and business processes, including maturity and gap analysis.
- Develop and refine enterprise architecture (EA) governance structures, operating models, and associated frameworks.
- Design target state architectures across multiple domains and create transition plans and phased roadmaps aligned with corporate strategy.
- Establish EA processes, standards, reference models, and methodologies integrated with the project management lifecycle.
- Create stakeholder engagement strategies, communication plans, and educational/change management materials to ensure adoption of EA practices.
- Build internal EA capabilities by delivering training, knowledge transfer, mentorship, and sustainability recommendations.
- Define KPIs, performance metrics, and continuous improvement strategies for EA practices.
- Provide strategic advice and technical expertise to ensure architectural decisions are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a Technical or Enterprise Architect with direct involvement in EA frameworks, modeling, and solution delivery.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks; TOGAF certification or equivalent is highly recommended.
- Experience in the utility sector is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with ITIL principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with architecture modeling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.
