Agilus is recruiting for a Process Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Provide technical and engineering support to Plant Operations for Process engineering changes and upgrades. Provide technical guidance to day-to-day operations. Provide discipline-based support (process engineering) in support of large capital and major projects. Lead and/or support the front-end development, and support the implementation, of small capital and expense projects.

Provide technical and engineering support to Plant Operations for Process engineering changes and upgrades. Provide technical guidance to day-to-day operations. A Typical Day
- Working with safety as the top priority in the execution of assigned tasks, action items, MOCs and projects
- Working with operations and maintenance/reliability (M&R) to identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and optimization of plant assets.
- Collaboration with operations, vendors, SCM and enterprise technical to identify opportunities to standardize, align and minimize sparing of plant equipment across the Distribution network
- Stewardship of MOCs, technical incidents and project management (scope, cost, schedule) to the CFT and Distribution E&A leadership team.
- Functional support during major capital projects, including review of project documentation (DBM, FEED, CWP, IFR, IFC and PSSR).
- Supporting E&A initiatives in OEMS space – including but not limited to development of Process Safety Information (PSI), Operating Envelops (OE), Alternative Relief Assessments for PSVs/ TRVs, Corrosion Hazard Analysis (CHA’s) and API-2350 amongst others
- Supporting Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) requirements with technical information.
- 10 to 15 years of process engineering experience in a refinery, pipeline or distribution facilities, with risk management and process hazard analysis experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. Professional Engineering License with EGBC.(Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia)
- Strong technical skills with working knowledge of industry standards and best practices including API, ASME, CSA and TSBC
- Proficiency with project management processes.
- $80.00 - $110.00 hourly
- Competitive Compensation
- Mon - Fri - 40 hours per week - Completely onsite role
- 1 year contract
- Port Moody - Vancouver location
