We are seeking an experienced General Construction Foreman with carpentry skills to join our growing team. This role is hands-on, combining supervisory responsibilities with on-site work. The Foreman will oversee small projects independently and support Site Superintendents on medium-sized projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support small projects independently, or assist Site Superintendents on larger projects
  • Perform carpentry and general labour tasks as required on-site
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, trades, and other RJS team members
  • Communicate project progress to Project Managers and Site Superintendents
  • Maintain accurate project documentation through Procore
  • Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety regulations, and company policies
  • Foster teamwork and positive problem-solving on site

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Foreman with a general contractor (required)
  • Proven experience on small to medium-sized commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects
  • Strong knowledge of BC construction methods, codes, and documents
  • Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, drawings, schedules, and contract documents
  • Skilled in safety practices, team leadership, and project execution
  • Organized, adaptable, and proactive in solving challenges
  • Basic computer skills including Outlook; Procore experience preferred
  • Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites
  • Must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal record check. Only results relevant to the role will be considered
