The Opportunity
As a Facilities Cleaner, you will ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the YMCA facilities. You will act in a professional manner that leaves a positive impression while helping keep our YMCA welcoming and safe for everyone; members, visitors, and staff alike. Shifts will vary and may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.

The Opportunity
As a Facilities Cleaner, you will ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the YMCA facilities. You will act in a professional manner that leaves a positive impression while helping keep our YMCA welcoming and safe for everyone; members, visitors, and staff alike. Shifts will vary and may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the cleanliness, neatness and organization of the housekeeping area.
- Service, clean and supply locker rooms, public restrooms, etc.
- Laundering of towels.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean and polish fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Cleaning experience in a commercial establishment.
- WHMIS training is an asset, and training will be provided if not already certified.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Flexibility regarding assigned work schedule, evenings and weekends.
- First Aid/CPR/AED or willingness to obtain.
- Employment is contingent on having a clean Criminal Record Check.
