This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from planning through completion while ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of ground improvement projects with a focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery.
- Develop and monitor construction schedules to ensure milestones are met.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, handling revisions and changes as needed.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to manage schedules and deliverables.
- Oversee project budgets, job costing, and forecasting.
- Act as a client liaison, assisting in business development and resource allocation.
- Mentor junior staff and provide on-site leadership when required.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- University degree or diploma in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Registered or eligible for registration as P.Eng., EIT, or AScT in BC.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience with geotechnical engineering exposure.
- Strong knowledge of ground improvement techniques, foundations, earth retaining structures, and driven piles.
- Experience in contract management, scheduling, and project financials.
- Familiarity with permitting, government approvals, and trade standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
