Location: This position can be worked out of any of StandardAero's North American facilities.
Position Overview
StandardAero is seeking a high-impact Senior Director, Supply Chain – Indirect Sourcing to lead and evolve our enterprise-wide indirect sourcing strategy. This executive-level role is responsible for optimizing spend, managing supplier relationships, and aligning sourcing initiatives with business goals across all StandardAero sites and functions. Areas of responsibility include categories such as facilities, IT, professional services, MRO, travel, and capital equipment.
This role requires a strategic thinker and relationship-driven leader who can influence cross-functional stakeholders, establish enterprise-wide sourcing frameworks, and deliver measurable cost and value improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development & Execution
- Design and implement a global strategy for indirect sourcing across all business units and categories.
- Drive category management and strategic sourcing processes to optimize total cost of ownership, supplier performance, and risk mitigation.
- Lead initiatives to centralize and standardize sourcing practices, contracts, and supplier engagement models.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Build and maintain strong relationships with functional leaders across IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Facilities to understand business needs and deliver sourcing solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to executive leadership on sourcing decisions and supplier strategies.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of sourcing professionals across multiple geographies.
- Set clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Supplier & Contract Management
- Oversee supplier performance management processes, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and business reviews.
- Ensure consistent negotiation and contract management practices across all categories.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage contractual risks and obligations.
- Data & Process Optimization
- Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize supplier portfolios.
- Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to align budgeting and spend analysis with sourcing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain or sourcing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing indirect categories.
- Strong experience with enterprise-wide category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and influencing at the executive level.
- Excellent negotiation, contracting, and relationship management skills.
- Aerospace or industrial services experience is a strong asset.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) preferred.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a results-oriented approach.
- Executive presence and exceptional communication skills.
- Collaborative and diplomatic leadership style with the ability to influence without authority.
- Proven ability to drive change and build sourcing capabilities in a complex, matrixed organization.
