Job Description
The Recreation Coordinator assesses, develops, and coordinates the delivery of social, recreational, therapeutic programs consistent with the needs, interests and abilities of persons in care. Respects and promotes the dignity and individuality of each person in care by recognizing them as individuals with unique cultural, spiritual, and psycho-social needs

Job Description

Education, Requirements, Skills
- Experience and skills in facilitating activation and restorative functional program and activities.
- Demonstrated experience planning programs for patients with mild-cognitive impairment and various physical and functional limitations
- Able to assist patient in their home with basic living needs ( social connections, falls prevention)
- Able to assist in functional activities (dressing, restorative activity exercise plans)
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills ability to work in an electronic health record.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others and as part of an inter-disciplinary team in the community.
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities in collaboration with others.
- Creative, energetic, approachable, and highly motivated to work directly with patients in their home.
- Genuine interest in working with seniors and frail elderly population
- Current First Aid/CPR C certification.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Attends team meetings as requested
