As an Analyst, HR Shared Services, you’ll be a key contributor to delivering seamless HR operational support and outstanding service to employees and leaders across Definity. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that serves as the first point of contact for HR inquiries, offering guidance and efficient resolution across the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding, including retirement, job changes, leaves of absence, payroll, and more.

You’ll also play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our HCM system data and processes, ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience.

What can you expect from the role?

  • Provide support and counsel to employees and leaders on HR processes
  • Respond to HR inquiries, researching and collaborating with subject matter experts when needed.
  • Manage short-term disability cases with confidentiality and care, in partnership with third-party providers.
  • Execute HR transactions in the HCM system, ensuring data integrity across employee lifecycle events, talent acquisition, learning and development, recognition, and separations.
  • Support the rollout and ongoing administration of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employment policies and practices and contribute to their continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes and positively impact the employee experience.
  • Monitor service metrics and take proactive steps to optimize service delivery.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for key HR processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in HR projects aligned with organizational and personal development goals.

What do you bring to the role?

  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar HR role.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud HCM or similar systems.
  • Experience with leave of absence administration is preferred
  • Exposure to employee relations is an asset.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation completed or in progress preferred


Salary range is $50,200 - $92,500
