TalentSphere is partnering with a larger award-winning architectural firm located downtown Toronto involved with a range of community projects: community housing, healthcare, education and long-term homes. Role Overview

The IT and Asset Specialist plays a vital role in managing IT projects, coordinating technology changes, maintaining hardware and software inventory, and supporting staff training. They ensure architects, designers, and project teams have uninterrupted access to the digital resources essential for successful project delivery.

What's Required

  • Serve as the internal go-to for staff on IT matters, including hardware, software, workstations, and the digital library.
  • Triage and escalate IT issues to the external MSP as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including staff training and onboarding.
  • Manage software licensing, renewals, and vendor documentation; review and approve IT-related invoices.
  • Collaborate with the IT Committee on budget reporting and planning.
  • Oversee asset management by assessing staff technology needs and ensuring hardware and software remain current.
  • Partner with HR on staff onboarding/offboarding to ensure proper IT setup and access.
  • Coordinate upcoming software implementations in collaboration with the MSP and IT Committee.
  • Oversee Azure and SharePoint usage, liaising with the MSP as required.
  • Manage the workstation inventory and replacement cycle, ensuring staff needs are met.
  • Conduct software training sessions and maintain documentation for future reference.
  • Document internal IT standards, best practices, and templates.
  • Work with design and BIM teams to archive completed project assets for reuse and reference.
  • Provide biweekly updates to the IT Committee on key IT initiatives and developments.
