Responsibilities
- Providing structural design and drafting support.
- Prepare complex 3D structural models using Aveva E3D
- Preparing drawings for structural steel, reinforced concrete, using Aveva E3D and AutoCAD.
- Reviewing and performing quality checks of project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation against project standards and specifications
- Coordinating and working with project team members from local and regional offices
- Adhering to established design guidelines and procedures
- Maintaining accurate design files for reference purposes
- Performing other discipline duties as requested by Structural lead.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada at the time of application
- Structural engineering technician / technology diploma from a recognized college
- 5-10 years structural design experience on heavy industrial projects or related design experience
- Experience using Aveva E3D and AutoCAD
- Drafting and design experience within a consulting engineering environment
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Experience in other Structural Modeling Software (Smart 3D, Advance Steel, Revit) would be an asset
