1 x permanent post, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri 09:00 – 17:00

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven medical secretary to join the Neurosurgical department based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The preferred candidate will be the first point of contact for patient and staff. They will complete audio typing and administrative duties within a large service. They must have a recognised qualification in secretarial studies or equivalent experience as well as waiting list experience. They will be proficient in the use of IT systems, Microsoft Office Packages along with a minimum of one year’s audio typing experience or proven advanced keyboard skills from previous roles.

It is essential that the post holder has a good working knowledge of current clinical software systems, excellent organisation and communication skills. They should also have a good understanding of Freedom of Information, Caldicott Guidelines and General Data Protection Regulations.
