As an associate with Giorgio Armani Canada Corporation, you will be part of a diverse team, who you will work with to support an excellent client experience, and ensure the administration processes operate efficiently and effectively. Your ability to combine entrepreneurial spirit, passion for the brand and knowledge of the luxury/retail business with organizational skills to support the business will greatly influence the efficiency of the company.

As a Finance Administration Coordinator, you will support the teams in Canada administratively and assist in the verification and audit processes of expenses. Your attention to detail, understanding of process efficiency and accuracy will support the organization’s goals.

To be successful in this role you will operate with integrity, have a strong team mindset and be results driven. As a member of the team accountable for expense processing, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate auditing of invoices, and responding to queries that will impact our supplier relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

Drive Results

  • Accountable for verification and coding of vendors invoices
  • Provide general administrative support, as needed for all business units and divisions
  • Assist in variance review, track payables, and follow up on discrepancies, as needed

Business Excellence

  • Responsible for the compliance with Giorgio Armani group on processes and procedures, ensuring local expectations are met

Operational Excellence

  • Monitors and escalates any concerns with internal control practices in line with company guidelines, including authority levels, policies, and procedures, etc.
  • Assist with all the warehouse import/export, customs, invoices, checks and coding process
  • Ensure the compliance of all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Expense Optimization

  • Process invoices and payments in a timely manner ensuring late fees are avoided
  • Supports cost effectiveness with regards to travel and supplies
  • Work towards achieving country EBIT targets in particular OPEX goals
  • Verification of proper invoice and coding processes
  • Monitor operating costs and ensures profitability is at the forefront of all decisions
  • Participates in cost control by being mindful of expenses and conserving supplies

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum one (1+) years of experience in similar retail / administration role
  • High School Diploma required
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Experience with Office programs, i.e. SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint is considered ideal
  • While not required, Italian, French, or other language skills are considered a strong asset
