Position Overview: Compugen is seeking an AV Systems Technician for an initial 8 month contract with possible extensions. You will be responsible to provide Audio Visual Support Services to various communities.
Key Responsibilities: Category A – Rack Build Services:
Both the Rack Build Services Contractor and Stage Installation Services Contractor(s) will work together with the client’s staff to ensure successful setup of AV systems prior to the scheduled start dates of trials.

Position Overview: Compugen is seeking an AV Systems Technician for an initial 8 month contract with possible extensions. You will be responsible to provide Audio Visual Support Services to various communities.
Key Responsibilities: Category A – Rack Build Services:
- Technical personnel to inspect the work of the Stage Installation Services Contractor and ensure all AV Services are fully operational as needed.
- Technical support of AV components within mobile racks, and to perform maintenance and repairs of the AV systems utilized in various off site locations, to oversee and coordinate offsite installations, maintenance, and/or the actual removal and relocation of AV systems.
- Technical personnel to transport and assemble temporary AV systems prior to the start date of trials, as well as disassemble and transport the AV systems to the designated facility as needed.
- Pickup equipment from either the Edmonton Law Courts or the Calgary Court Centre, or a court designated storage location, and deliver the equipment as required to the various temporary court locations provided by the Province.
- Installation and disassembly of freestanding truss mounted courtroom AV systems.
- Provide remote or onsite support of staging systems and other related issues, based on the complexity and impact of a given issue.
- Technical personnel to transport and assemble temporary AV systems prior to the start date of trials, as well as disassemble and transport the AV systems to the designated storage facility as needed.
- Pickup equipment and deliver the equipment as required to the various temporary court locations provided by the Province.
- Installation and disassembly of freestanding truss mounted courtroom AV systems.
- Provide remote or onsite support of staging systems and other related issues, based on the complexity and impact of a given issue.
Both the Rack Build Services Contractor and Stage Installation Services Contractor(s) will work together with the client’s staff to ensure successful setup of AV systems prior to the scheduled start dates of trials.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS), or
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent Electronics Technology certification, or
- BSc in Electrical Engineering, or
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in AV systems integration, telecom, or electronics within the last 10 years
- Locations: Travel required to 13 Alberta communities (e.g., Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, etc.)
- Work Type: Onsite and remote support; call-out based
- Tools & Facilities: Technicians must provide their own tools and workspace
- Security: Enhanced criminal record checks required
