Position Summary

Ww are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our Research and Development team. You will work closely with the Mechanical Engineer to design, test and improve our products. Your role will be to support R&D and production activities, carry out tests of all kinds, analyze data and contribute to the development of new mechanical, electrical, aesthetic and other solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the mechanical engineer in product design and development.
  • Participate in mechanical, electrical and production tests and experiments.
  • Analyze results and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with the team to solve technical problems.
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement of products and production.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment in the laboratory.
  • Analyze causes of breakdowns during test stoppages.

Manufacturing

  • In charge of manufacturing certain prototype parts.
  • Assemble prototypes for validation.
  • Modification of existing parts for prototypes and production.
  • Repair or modification of laboratory stations.

Mindset, Skills & Education

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or similar experience.
  • Previous R&D experience (an asset).
  • Knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, etc.) (an asset).
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use tools of all kinds.
