We are seeking a Full Time Dishwasher to join our Kitchen Team. As a dishwasher you are a positive and energetic individual who enjoys working in a fast paced and team-oriented dynamic environment. You will support the kitchen and front-of-house teams by gathering used dishes and equipment. You will thoroughly clean, sanitize and dry these items and return them or stock them in the appropriate area for efficiency. At times you may be called upon to asset with basic kitchen tasks like removing full waste, recycling or compost bins, peeling of vegetables or larger cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and clean dirty or used china, glassware, pots, pans and cooking tools
  • Re-stock plates, cutlery, kitchen pots and cooking equipment after cleaning and drying
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as needed
  • Work closely with Food & Beverage servers and other members of the Glencoe team to prepare and provide an exceptional food service experience for our members
  • Perform food simple preparation as called upon i.e. peeling vegetables, washing lettuce

Qualifications

  • Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset
  • Energy, enthusiasm, team player and a positive attitude
  • Professional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Comprehend verbal and written instruction in English
  • Resilience through daily stressful situations
  • Must be able to stand or walk during the length of shift and be able to lift supplies weighing up to 50lbs across the kitchen for various needs

Additional Details

This is a Full-Time position that reports to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays and must be available to work as late as 12am, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
