In this role, you will represent our wide range of panels, melamines, laminates, and specialty surfaces, working closely with cabinetmakers, fabricators, designers, and distributors to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions that drive growth.
Your role
- Develop new business – Prospect, identify, and convert opportunities in your territory
- Strengthen relationships – Build trust and long-term partnerships with customers
- Become a product expert – Gain in-depth knowledge of our product lines to provide the best advice
- Negotiate and deliver results – Lead presentations, conduct strategic negotiations, and close sales
- Achieve and exceed targets – Consistently reach sales goals while maximizing profitability
- Stay ahead – Monitor industry trends and anticipate customer needs
- Collaborate as a team – Work with internal colleagues to ensure seamless service from order to delivery
- 3 to 5 years of experience in outside sales and/or business development, with strong prospecting abilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all organizational levels
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Solid computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Knowledge of the hardware or building materials industry is an asset
- University degree in marketing or a related field is a plus
- Must reside in the Greater Halifax or Moncton area
- Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
