Purpose And Scope

The Sales Associate (GAL-Canada) is responsible for interacting with customers on behalf of the organization, providing information about products and services, taking orders, generating Salesforce tickets and responding to customer inquiries.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Understand and respond proactively to the specific needs of customer
  • Make recommendations to business unit on matters impacting account service such as inventory, chronic problems, and unique requirements
  • Provide customers with product knowledge and usage information
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate sales volumes
  • Provided superior service by understanding and responsively satisfying customer requirements
  • Understand GAL’s best practices to effectively guide customers to the appropriate point of contact
  • Knowledge of Customer preferences
  • Customer liaison between internal GAL departments
  • Coordinate Customer issues with Quality Control
  • Knowledge of shop floor procedures
  • Liaison between Schedulers, Engineering and Manufacturing

Qualifications, Education And / Or Experience

  • 5 years’ minimum experience in a similar role; candidates with relevant industry experience may be considered in place of this requirement.
  • A minimum post-secondary degree, preferably in business
  • Knowledge of elevator parts is highly desirable
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong phone presence and enthusiastic approach to selling
  • Experience working with CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Self-directed with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
