Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with reducing costs and improving quality and customer satisfaction. You will be able to conduct metallurgical investigations for in house and customer issues and be able to perform plant wide trials using problem-solving techniques for continuous improvement.
Preferred Credentials Should Include

Preferred Credentials Should Include
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a steelmaking environment
- A BSc. degree in metallurgy or material science
- A strong working knowledge of metallurgy and an understanding of steel manufacturing and techniques used in the melting, casting of molten steel and/or modern rolling practice
- A thorough knowledge of IS9001 Quality System
- Formal problem-solving training such as Six Sigma
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to independently apply metallurgical fundamentals to the continuous improvement efforts of production and maximize the efficiency of the overall operation
