Position Overview

The Proposal Writer should collaborate with the bid Manager, technical sector team, and proposal development team to ensure high quality proposal documents supported with strong needs assessment, secondary data, clusters recommendation and design thinking outputs ensuring responding to the guidelines of the bid manager, request for proposals strategies and donors’ requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in English writing. Native speakers are preferable.
• Expertise in developing proposals across multisectoral and standalone sectors.
• Strong knowledge and experience in MEAL, training and consultancy services proposal writing requirements.
• Strong coordination skills with inter-departmental collaboration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• RFP Analysis and Response Management:
• Analyze RFP requirements thoroughly, assemble an appropriate response team, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Content Management:
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive proposal content library and a database of information to support future responses.
• Ensure content is updated, relevant, and tailored to different RFPs.
• Document Review and Production:
• Oversee the final review, assembly, and production of proposal documents.
• Manage the printing, binding, packaging, and shipping processes, ensuring compliance with proposal specifications.
• Solicitation Research:
• Conduct proactive searches for solicitations, primarily and other procurement sites.
• Stay updated on relevant opportunities and market trends.
