Overview
The Manager, FP&A provides analysis, insight and recommendations to senior Redpath leadership that enable decisions and shape company strategy. The Manager, FP&A will lead analyses focused on improving the efficiency of Redpath operations (e.g., raw materials processing, sugar refining, packaging, warehousing, distribution) and the effectiveness of Redpath commercial strategy (e.g., product portfolio optimization, marketing effectiveness, pricing optimization).

Overview
The Manager, FP&A provides analysis, insight and recommendations to senior Redpath leadership that enable decisions and shape company strategy. The Manager, FP&A will lead analyses focused on improving the efficiency of Redpath operations (e.g., raw materials processing, sugar refining, packaging, warehousing, distribution) and the effectiveness of Redpath commercial strategy (e.g., product portfolio optimization, marketing effectiveness, pricing optimization).
Detailed Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform analyses to identify value creation opportunities across all aspects of Redpath business including operations, supply chain, sales, marketing and other functions
- Extract insights from data and effectively use images, charts, and conceptual frameworks to synthesize that data
- Develop actionable recommendations
- Create and deliver professional presentations to senior leadership
- Collaborate across functions and regions with Redpath colleagues in implementing solutions
- Drive continuous process improvement within Finance and across all company processes
- Support the annual budget process, to include detailed evaluation of all budget plans, budget compilation, and final presentation
- Support traditional Finance activities as necessary, such as month-end closing, planning, and forecasting
- 5+ years of overall relevant and progressive experience
- M.B.A., or Master’s in Finance/Accounting-related field of study preferred.
- CPA required
- Relevant course work in Accounting, Corporate Finance, and the Sciences preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles required
- Ability to act as a player and a coach
- Detail-oriented, team-oriented, accountable, with a bias for action
- Comfortable in communicating with stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts required
- Knowledge of sales, pricing and trade spend analysis techniques preferred
- Expert skills in Microsoft EXCEL, POWERPOINT, and WORD
- Preference for experience utilizing advanced analytical tools (e.g., Anaplan, Power BI), and S&OP systems (e.g., SAP IBP)
- Open and capable of learning new technologies that optimize existing processes and enhance efficiency
- SAP knowledge and proficiency is preferred
- Comfortable with large data sets and data mining
- Multitasking and able to prioritize
- Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid role – minimum 3 days per week in office)
- Minimal travel required (several site visits to other plants per year)
