What’s The Role
Shell is seeking a Central Repair Shop Millwright (internally known as Central Repair Millwright CTM), reporting to the Central Repair Lead. Daily work is directed by the Lead to deliver a coordinated maintenance schedule. Working closely with other craft disciplines, they execute repairs and perform preventive maintenance to ensure high reliability and efficient equipment care.

Shell is seeking a Central Repair Shop Millwright (internally known as Central Repair Millwright CTM), reporting to the Central Repair Lead. Daily work is directed by the Lead to deliver a coordinated maintenance schedule. Working closely with other craft disciplines, they execute repairs and perform preventive maintenance to ensure high reliability and efficient equipment care.
Accountabilities:
- Work safely and adheres to Shell Scotford policies, SWPs and Life Saving rules
- Understand and follow Maintenance Execution Work Process practices
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety awareness and housekeeping under all conditions
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs in accordance with Repair Shop processes and procedures
- Provide updates as work progresses to Job owner or Lead Craft and respective job lead
- Support Central Repair technical team in the development of preventive maintenance systems, documentation, spare parts program, maintenance practices and procedures, infrastructure (tools and equipment)
- Support Engineering and Specialist with maintaining accurate records and drawings
- Make decisions based upon maintenance guidelines, principles and trade practices
- Work well with peers and stakeholders and is competent in conflict resolution
- Coordinate daily personal work activities to ensure weekly maintenance plan and operations objectives are achieved
- Complete time writing tasks daily
- Ensure equipment is suitable for service when work activities are complete
- Look for new and innovative ways to improve the maintenance process at Scotford
- Work to solve delays and remove barriers but elevates issues when required
- Execute overhauls that meet or exceed Scotford's quality standard
- Adhere to the respectful workplace policy and code of conduct
- Demonstrates strong self-motivation in executing daily responsibilities, consistently upholding a professional, positive, and collaborative approach to work
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma
- Must hold a valid Red Seal Millwright Certificate
- Journeyman Machinist is a plus
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience
- Experience in Repair Shop is a plus
- Must be willing to work overtime and participate in off-shift coverage (nights and weekends), cold weather coverage, and turnaround support
- Proficient in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs on pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
- Skilled in dismantling, cleaning, inspecting, and rebuilding components in accordance with manufacturer specifications
