Your Opportunity!

We’re looking for a Wellness Associate. This role plays a vital role in assisting with the development and delivery of wellness programs that empower residents to live independently, stay engaged, and improve their overall well-being within the community.

What You Will Do

  • Support the creation and development of wellness programs, initiatives, and plans that align with the seven dimensions of wellness, focusing on physical, mental, and spiritual independence for residents.
  • Help develop and deliver programs that encourage residents to pursue an active aging lifestyle, promoting overall well-being and independence through engagement in wellness activities.
  • Assist in the execution of wellness initiatives that foster a holistic approach to health, addressing residents' physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, vocational, and environmental needs.
  • Work closely with the Wellness Supervisor and other team members to ensure that wellness programs are effectively implemented and delivered in a way that supports the community’s wellness goals.
  • Offer assistance to residents in participating in wellness activities, provide encouragement, and ensure that their individual needs and preferences are taken into account when designing programs.
  • Monitor resident participation in wellness programs and track their progress toward achieving their wellness goals, providing feedback and support as needed.
  • Lead or assist in the facilitation of wellness activities and events, ensuring they are engaging, accessible, and in line with the community’s wellness objectives.
  • Actively engage residents to participate in wellness programs and initiatives, creating a positive, motivating environment that encourages regular involvement.
  • Ensure all wellness programs and services align with the broader mission and values of the community, contributing to a supportive, healthy, and fulfilling living environment.
  • Assist in delivering wellness programs and services that support the community’s operations, ensuring that residents have consistent access to wellness resources and activities.

Qualifications Or Skills Required

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • University/College degree/diploma in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Psychology and/or related discipline (Required)
  • Minimum two years of experience in a fast-paced, high-quality community/organization (Required)
  • Experience in coordinating program operations and creating plans to deliver events maximizing residents’ experience (Required)
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products (Required)
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Class 4 (or similar) Driver’s license (Preferred)
