National Account manager - Healthcare Security Services (Western Canada)

Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 Annual plus benefits

Schedule: Mon- Fri (8-Hour Shift) / Weekends as needed

Job Location: Western Canada – Calgary / Edmonton

PURPOSE:

To ensure effective coordination and oversight of the junior management team in direct support of all healthcare-related contract requirements. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures, performing administrative functions as needed, and supporting both new business development and existing contract maintenance. The position also involves maintaining proactive communication and strong working relationships with clients and their representatives, managing a team of 6 Service Delivery Managers, and providing additional services as required.

AREAS OF PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT:

● Hold the designation of Certified Protection Professional.
● Proven experience of 8 to 10 years while operating in the healthcare industry.
● Post Orders and Duty Briefings.
● Knowledgeable of all Legal Authorities pertaining to duties.
● Generally knowledgeable of Access Control, Alarm, CCTV systems and fire systems.
● Emergency Procedures and be able to implement the same as necessary.
● Criminal Code of Canada and any applicable provincial and federal laws.
● Security Services and Investigators Act. Including all applicable regulations and guidelines pertaining to working as a Security Guard in the Province of Alberta.
● Knowledge of Service Delivery Manager duties and training requirements.
● Understanding of company growth and profit objectives
● Strong understanding of business financials

● Has knowledge and ability to use PC based incident reporting and scheduling systems.
● Has knowledge and ability to use CCTV equipment; access systems and PC controlled security systems.
● Has conflict resolution skills and is able to use them effectively.
● Demonstrates good judgement in the performance of all duties.
● Has the ability to make decisions under pressure.
● Displays versatility in dealings with clients, employees and the public.
● Demonstrates a high level of Honesty and Integrity in all aspects of job performance.
● Exhibits a professional, courteous manner at all times.

● Acts as the day-to-day client contact for the healthcare senior leadership while working closely with the Vice President
● Monitor and enforce all designated operational procedures and regulations with the WES Junior management team.
● Ensures Post orders and Duty Briefings are current and up to date.
● Review Non-Conformance Reports for all incidents, complaints or deficiencies discovered that affect the delivery of service to our clients.
● Maintains an open line of communication with clients to help ensure the delivery of quality services.
● Assists in the planning and implementation of deployment plans.
● Assists in the Hiring and screening of new managers, including conducting interviews.
● Ensures appropriate staffing levels are available at all times via operation meetings.
● Ensures employee training is maintained and effectively executed by way of reports from the training coordinator.
● Enforces all rules, policies and procedures in a fair and impartial manner.
● Communicates instructions from Head Office to all junior management staff.
● Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct security risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements. Implement strategies to mitigate security risks.
● Ensures new initiatives are reviewed and approved prior to Implementation.
● Emergency Response: Develop and oversee emergency response plans and procedures for all levels of the contract. Coordinate responses to security incidents, accidents, and emergencies to the healthcare senior leadership.
● Technology and Equipment Management: Oversee budget and procurement of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
● Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for security operations. Monitor expenses and find ways to reduce costs without compromising security.
● Mentoring Service Delivery Managers and Plan for growth opportunities for Service Delivery Managers through Succession Planning
● Other duties as required by the company.

● Must be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant.
● Must have valid security license in the province of Alberta
● Business management degree preferred
● Must have a full Alberta Drivers license with no restrictions.
● Must have and maintain a clean drivers abstract.
● Above average verbal and written communication skills in English.
● Minimum of 10 years experience within the healthcare security industry
● Minimum of 10 years employment within a business management position in the Security Industry
● Must have experience managing multiple clients at critical infrastructures
● Must have or obtain the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation within 18 months of start of employment
● Must be willing to work flexible hours and willing to travel.
