We are seeking an innovative eCommerce Marketing Technology Manager to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in strengthening our marketing technology capabilities on our digital and eCommerce platforms. You will own the technical roadmap for all marketing technologies used on our digital and eCommerce platforms. Your primary goal is to ensure our MarTech stack is fully optimized, seamlessly integrated, and directly aligned with our business objectives to drive revenue and operational efficiency.

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT

Vancouver-based and Toronto-based team members work in-office every other week (Tues–Thurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM – 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • MarTech Roadmap & Strategy: Develop, own, and execute the technical roadmap for digital and eCommerce marketing technologies including analytics platforms, tag management systems, content management systems, landing page builders, A/B testing tools, personalization engines, live chat, SEO tools, and more.
  • Technical Implementation & Optimization: Partners on any new tech implementation with technology team. Leads and implements all platform configuration and optimizations directly in platforms. This includes writing and managing tracking scripts, setting up tags, and ensuring flawless execution.
  • Data Integrity & Governance: Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of marketing data collected across all platforms. Regularly audit and troubleshoot data collection issues.
  • Collaboration & Enablement: Act as the primary technical liaison between the marketing, IT, and product development teams. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and empower the marketing team to effectively use our technology stack.
  • Performance & A/B Testing: Partner with marketing and analytics teams to implement and manage A/B and multivariate tests, ensuring technical soundness and accurate measurement.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with MarTech vendors, stay current on new features and industry trends, and evaluate new technologies that can enhance our digital capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Serve as the first line of defense for troubleshooting technical issues related to marketing tools and tracking on our digital properties.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a marketing technology, digital analytics, or web development role.
  • Technical Acumen:
    • Proficiency in front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM) or similar tag management systems is required.
    • Deep understanding of Google Analytics (GA4), including implementation, configuration, and reporting.
    • Strong experience in content management and landing page building platforms (e.g. Contentful, Hubspot, Drupal).
    • Familiarity with A/B testing platforms (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO) and personalization tools.
    • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) like Segment or Tealium is a strong plus.
  • Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to think strategically about technology and its role in achieving business goals.
  • Analytical Mindset: A strong analytical and problem-solving orientation with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working in agile and lean methodologies. Brings an entrepreneurial and start-up mentality, able to navigate multiple work streams and rapidly adapt priorities to deliver continuous value in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $97,000 – $117,000 per annum

(Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.)
