The new manager role is responsible for managing and leading the team operations, and providing technical expertise, coaching, development, human resource and performance management for the risk management services team. The Manager role will work in collaboration with the RSG leadership team to develop and implement the credit union risk management strategy for the Credit Union Property and Casualty (CUPAC) and The Credit Union Bonding Program (TCUBP) (TCUBP). The role will assess credit union risks (including new and emerging risks) as well as research, develop and provide risk management and loss prevention services. The Manager will work in collaboration and coordination with our RSG claims management team.

How You Will Create Impact
- Set, monitor & oversee performance metrics and goal management for individuals and the team. Using information and reports, assess your teams results, goal achievement and productivity, conduct reviews, identify trends and implement plans as needed.
- Create a high-performance culture through alignment of your team's work with organizational goals and successfully convey strategy and changes with a sense of positive advocacy.
- Act as the first level for questions and issues relating to the technical areas of risk management applicable to credit union risk to provide the technical leadership for your team, including technical areas of risk assessment, mitigation techniques and controls, and implemetation.
- Lead in the monitoring, analysis, and development of control criteria for risk exposures faced by our credit union partners, including new and emerging risks.
- Develop and implement TCUBP & CUPAC underwriting team Operation Plan. Implement RSG Commercial insurance Underwriting Strategies and Operational guidelines, and support RSG underwriting philosophy and financial objectives
- Allocation of master policy and key individual account premiums for TCUBP and integrated service clients in accordance with the TCUBP rating model to ensure proper apportionment of premiums
- Responsible for any deviations from standard underwriting rules or policy forms that may be required by individual clients
- Monitor appropriate risk and financial underwriting measurement & control criteria, ensuring account-level rating and coverage decisions are appropriate Provide post-claim underwriting and underwriting input into the management of major losses

- You have 6-9 years of experience in Risk Management and Commercial Underwriting.
- Working knowledge of insurance policies and coverage, specifically applicable to credit unions (crime, cyber, professional liability, property)
- Excellent problem-solving skills & sound judgement. Ability to develop creative solutions to unique issues & opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting with specialty in the Financial Institution market.
- Communication – strong verbal and written skills to convey ideas, provide feedback and resolve issues effectively, etc
- Leadership – ability to inspire, motivate and empower team of insurance professionals.
- You are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.
- This role involves direct contact with clients and/or service providers in their environment.
