About The Role
We're looking for a Manager, Actuarial, to join our amazing team!
As a Manager of this high performing team, your work will have a big impact on our Personal Lines Pricing, Corporate Underwriting, Strategic Initiatives & Risk Control teams. This is a key opportunity in the PL management team, with a focus to profitably capitalize on the biggest line of business across the IFC overall portfolio. People will count on you to ensure the quality of deliverables affecting the rating, underwriting and strategic project deployments to systems. You will pro-actively supervise activities through planning and distribution of the work, foster collaborative teamwork and guide the training and development of the team

What You'll Do Here
- Formulate appropriate recommendations after analyzing and interpreting reports/requirements produced by actuarial analysts and teams to improve the performance of products and services.
- Enhance and streamline workflows through collaboration and liaison with diverse stakeholders, grounded in a deep understanding of the shared ecosystem.
- Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of members of their group to achieve the strategic objectives of the company.
- Manage their team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning.
- Manage and provide technical advice to the members of their group responsible for actuarial work and studies (product rating, reserves, financial projections, contribution to regulatory requirements, etc.).
- Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units.
- University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Job-specific designation: Mathematics, Actuarial Science, FCAS an asset.
- Minimum of 7 years including 2 years of coaching (major asset).
- Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques. Pega knowledge an asset.

- Blingual (French-English), For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
