Dean Group's Manufacturing division is now recruiting for Bend Cell Set Up Operators for one of our reputable clients in Waterloo.

Job Title: Bend Cell Set Up Operators
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr + $1 Shift premium for nights
Shift: Afternoons and Nights available.

  • Must be willing to train on days

Job Summary:
Bend Cell Set-Up is responsible for programming and setting up machinery according to customer specifications and maintaining machines in a skilled and detailed manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machinery according to specifications
  • Work closely with Bend Cell operators to maintain production and quality requirements.
  • Troubleshooting production equipment for calibration, machine malfunctions and optimization.
  • Inspect parts using check fixtures
  • Program machines and make Program Modifications
  • Perform tool changes on machines
  • Complete check sheets and scrap logs
  • Report issues to the Set-Up Operator
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication in English
  • Mechanically inclined, with prior machine operation experience preferred
  • Good math skills, including correct use of measurement tools
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Minimum of some high school education or equivalent
  • Min 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
