Our Sales and Distribution Centre has an exciting opportunity in our early career program, located in Lloydminster, Alberta. This program will support you in developing your career in the oil and gas industry. We will provide on-the-job learning to support you in learning Hunting’s products and how we support our clients.
This training program will lead to an Inside Sales Representative position that manages the delivery of our products from quoting, procuring required materials, coordinating manufacturing of products with licensees to delivery. We examine our customers’ needs and provide them with innovative and technical solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
Following completion of the training program, this position is primarily responsible for product pricing and quotation, order processing and coordination with customers, interfacing with engineering and QA to meet customer and company requirements and specifications, procuring goods and services to manufacture ordered items, initiating invoicing upon order completion, inventory, and shipment.
This position is also responsible for logistics at our Lloydminster distribution center, including shipping, receiving, and organizing products in the distribution center.
This position is specifically responsible to:
- Determine product costs and margins to quote all inquiries.
- Evaluate customer bid requirements and specifications, coordinate feasibility with engineering and QA and respond with appropriate pricing via quotation to customers.
- Negotiate prices for goods and services such as thread protectors, coupling threading and pipe threading to facilitate quotations and orders.
- Communicate customer inquiries to the appropriate outside sales staff and coordinate inquiry status updates.
- Create sales orders and workflow routing.
- Coordinate with Licensees regarding scheduling and completion dates.
- Shipping and Receiving including physically packaging and shipping, receiving shipments, tracking in the ERP System and operating the forklift.
- Manage rental equipment, including inspection, and shipping and receiving.

Required Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and excellent interpersonal and project management skills. Specific skills required include the following.
- Prior oil and gas industry experience is preferred. However, applicants with a willingness to learn, a technical aptitude and the skills listed below will be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, documents, instructions, and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn and become proficient with new software.
- Prior experience with an ERP system, preference for D365.
- Able to communicate effectively with customers and the internal Hunting team, and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the task assigned to this job.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Must be able to recognize and be discreet with sensitive financial, and other business-related information.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract, as occasional travel within Lloydminster and area is required.
- Forklift training.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. (These vision requirements relate to obtaining a valid driver’s license and recognizing color coded labels)
The typical schedule for this position will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Flexibility is required for occasional evening and weekend work and on-call rotation.
