Job Summary

As a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will be a vital contributor to our product's evolution. You will apply your deep expertise to tackle complex design challenges from concept through to final execution, creating intuitive, engaging, and polished user experiences across our product lines. In close collaboration with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, data-informed design solutions that solve critical user problems and support key business objectives.

This is a hybrid position and requires you to be on-site in either Hamilton, Winnipeg, or Burnaby.

Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end design for complex features and product initiatives with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Make significant contributions to our design system, helping to evolve and maintain its components and documentation.
  • Develop comprehensive UX artifacts, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering partners to translate requirements into thoughtful and effective user experiences.
  • Conduct user research (e.g., usability sessions, interviews, surveys) to validate design decisions and uncover user insights.
  • Analyze user data and product metrics to identify opportunities for improving the user experience and achieving business goals.
  • Act as a resource for other designers, providing guidance and mentorship on craft and process when needed.
  • Stay at the forefront of design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure your work is fresh, modern, and effective.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field; OR a diploma (minimum two-year full-time program) in UI/UX design, Interaction Design, or a directly related discipline; OR an equivalent of 7+ years of relevant professional experience. Bootcamps will not be considered.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in user-centered design, complex problem-solving, and polished visual execution.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX, product design, or a similar role.
  • Deep experience with user research methodologies and data analysis.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience creating and contributing to scalable design systems.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles for web and mobile.
  • A basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • A basic understanding of web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
  • Experience with the automotive industry (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with React or similar Javascript libraries (preferred, but not required)

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 with an annual target bonus.
