DropGenie is building infrastructure to accelerate drug discovery.

We are developing an automated microfluidic platform that makes complex cell engineering workflows simple, standardized, and automation-ready. Our technology empowers scientists to generate precisely modified primary and immortalized cell lines on demand, bridging the digital and biological to accelerate discovery and therapeutic development.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic early-career scientist (experienced BSc, MSc, or PhD looking for part-time work) who has strong hands-on skills in mammalian tissue culture and wants to contribute to advancing a next-generation cell engineering platform.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and expand mammalian cell cultures, with a focus on primary cells
  • Assist in generating engineered cells using DropGenie’s microfluidics platform
  • Perform routine assays (flow cytometry, microscopy, molecular biology methods such as PCR and DNA extraction)
  • Support experimental execution, sample preparation, and data collection
  • Contribute to maintaining high-quality lab practices, documentation, and SOPs

What We’re Looking For

  • BSc or MSc in Biological Sciences (or equivalent hands-on experience) — PhD welcome for part-time
  • Mandatory: Mammalian tissue culture experience, including primary cells
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry and basic molecular biology techniques
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small, fast-paced startup environment

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience with laboratory automation or liquid handling systems
  • Familiarity with microfluidics or other miniaturized biology platforms
