Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) | SE Health Rehab Clinic – Richmond Hill, ON

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in carrying out patient treatment plans, including gait training, transfers, strengthening, balance exercises, and therapeutic modalities (heat, ice, IFC, US)
  • Deliver safe and effective 1:1 and group exercise sessions
  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and ensure treatment areas remain safe and organized
  • Communicate patient progress and concerns to supervising Physiotherapists

Qualifications

  • PTA Diploma from an accredited program
  • 1+ years of experience (orthopedic or hospital-based setting preferred)
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and mobility aids
  • Strong initiative, adaptability, and ability to work independently or in a team in fast pace environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, pushing, lifting and transferring using proper/safe body mechanics.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Clear criminal and vulnerable sector checks and up-to-date immunization record
  • BLS certification
