Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

River Rock Casino Resort is currently searching for an experienced, dynamic, service-oriented security professional to lead our team as Manager, Security. The successful individual will be responsible for developing security plans, conducting risk assessments, managing and developing security personnel and strategically managing of day-to-day security operations and related issues for the Resort This role will work closely with the Director of Corporate Security, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, and report to the Regional Manager, Security, at the site level.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the security operation at the site level
  • Implements security strategic plans as directed
  • Implementing and monitoring all security policies, procedures and programs
  • Conducting periodic audits of card inventories, deliveries, pick-ups and maintain documentation of all activities.
  • Respond to all security issues and document findings, recommendations and take action in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop and implement security training and security operations
  • Prepare and monitor security budgets and reports
  • Oversee the First Aid and Evacuation Program and participate as one of the lead Site Safety Champions at River Rock Casino Resort.
  • Maintain a close liaison and working relationship with all appropriate operational departments
  • Ensure departmental training certification are current and in compliance with policy and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education And Qualifications

  • Post Secondary education in criminology or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
  • Minimum 5 year management experience in gaming security management
  • Responsible Liquor Service Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Self-motivated, collaborative team leader who leads by example
  • Proven conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
  • Strong understanding or training in risk management an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The hours of work will be based on operational and business needs.
