How You'll Perform The Role

Maintenance Planner

Principal Job Duties

  • Develop and publish daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance to align schedules with operational priorities and downtime availability.
  • Balance planned work with emergency or reactive maintenance events.
  • Monitor backlogs and reallocate resources based on criticality.
  • Prepare the Spare Parts BOMs per each machines and arrange the PM.
  • Create and maintain detailed job plans for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Document task sequences, safety procedures, estimated durations, and required tools.
  • Standardize maintenance documentation and update procedures based on technician feedback.
  • Maintain asset hierarchies, job plans, labor entries, and work order histories in the CMMS (MaintainX).
  • Review and analyze reports to ensure schedule adherence and task completion.
  • Support accurate technician hour tracking and job closeout documentation.
  • Participate in weekly maintenance planning meetings with maintenance and production leadership.
  • Communicate upcoming scheduled work and changes due to equipment availability or resource constraints
  • Train maintenance technicians on documentation practices, job plan usage, and work order entry procedures.
  • Assist the Reliability Manager in analyzing asset performance, identifying repeat failures, and supporting RCAs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean maintenance initiatives.
  • Identify trends in downtime and support the implementation of job-based solutions.


Job Requirements

What We Need From You

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical Industrial, or Operations Management (or related technical field)
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability support
  • Proficient in CMMS platforms (MaintainX, Epicor)
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, tracking tools)
  • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple schedules simultaneously
  • Collaborative and professional demeanor with cross-functional teams
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
