Intrepid is seeking a proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially minded leader to join our team as Operations Manager, Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a pivotal role with both regional impact and global reach, supporting the delivery of our 2030 Strategy and mission to change the way people see the world. The role will be based in our Squamish, British Colombia office on a hybrid basis.


As Operations Manager, you’ll have overall responsibility for the safe, successful, and profitable delivery of all trips across Canada. both for Intrepid Travel and our external brand partners, in line with company standards and policies. You’ll act as the main point of contact for operational matters between our office team, tour leaders, the Intrepid DMC Global Operations team, and Product teams at Intrepid and partner brands.


You’ll oversee the operational performance of our Canadian business, including the management of tour leaders and vehicle fleets, ensuring exceptional quality, safety, and consistency on every trip. As a key member of the regional management team, you’ll also play an important role in shaping the overall direction of Intrepid DMC Canada, helping us drive growth, innovation, and unforgettable experiences for our travelers.

Some of the experience you’ll bring with you may include:

  • A thorough understanding of and a strong passion for Intrepid’s style of sustainable, experience rich travel.
  • Background in operations management and/or tour leading/guiding including active travel, vehicle and/ or van-based touring and cycling.
  • In-depth knowledge of product, itineraries, destinations, and the adventure travel industry in Canada.
  • Experience managing people and teams, including remote staff and leaders.
  • Experience designing and delivering tour leader training.
  • Ability to manage crises calmly and effectively and take responsibility for the safety of others.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
