Ignite Growth. Lead a High-Performing Team. Build What Matters. Are you a seasoned leader from the construction industry with a passion for driving performance, mentoring strong teams, and closing big deals? We’re looking for a Department Sales Manager who’s not just a manager—but a builder of people, strategy, and results.

In this role, you’ll be at the helm of a driven, collaborative team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators. You’ll lead from the front—balancing strategic sales planning, team development, and client engagement. This is your opportunity to shape the future of a growing department while being hands-on in winning key projects in the hardware and commercial construction space.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Inspire: Set clear sales and performance goals for your team. Coach, mentor, and drive accountability to help your PMs and PCs succeed.
  • Own the Strategy: Develop and execute a sales strategy tailored to your market. Allocate resources effectively to hit (and exceed) sales and operational targets.
  • Drive Results: Secure new business through strategic prospecting, cold calls, and site visits. Prepare proposals and close contracts with confidence and professionalism.
  • Oversee Project Success: Ensure all sales and project contracts meet profitability, timeline, and service level expectations.
  • Deliver Top-Tier Service: Champion customer satisfaction by proactively resolving issues and reinforcing our reputation as a trusted industry leader.
  • Build Relationships: Cultivate strong connections with both internal teams and external clients to drive repeat business and long-term growth.
  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and streamline department workflows, order accuracy, and margin protection across all active projects.
  • Team Development: Conduct evaluations, support career progression, and implement individualized development plans to build a future-ready team.
  • Be a Culture Carrier: Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring:

  • 8+ years in the hardware, door, or construction industry, with a strong foundation in sales, operations, and team leadership.
  • Proven experience managing Project Managers and Coordinators in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety, and security/electronics requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with solid cost control, budgeting, and negotiation skills.
  • Natural leader with the ability to mentor, challenge, and elevate your team.
  • Skilled in systems such as Comsense, Avaware, Navision, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and focused on both process and people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you can influence, motivate, and collaborate across all levels.
  • Committed to upholding a “Safety First” mindset in every decision.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a reputable, growing company that values expertise, innovation, and leadership.
  • Work in a collaborative environment where your voice and decisions have real impact.
  • Lead a team that’s ready to win—together.
