We are seeking an experienced Electronic Instrument Control Technician II to join our dedicated and supportive team at Overlander Extended Care in Kamloops, BC. Our facility is committed to providing high-quality care, and we need skilled professionals to ensure our infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards.
Your Role
As an Electronics Instrument Control (EIC) Technician, you will bring your technical expertise to the design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of complex electronic systems. From building and wiring electronic circuits to developing solutions for equipment issues, you’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with applicable codes and standards. Your work will include interpreting and creating technical drawings, performing detailed fault analyses, and optimizing performance of electronic and building automation systems. You’ll also provide technical support to staff, helping to keep operations running smoothly while contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Position Information
This position is permanent full time and works day shifts from 07:00 to 15:53 Monday to Friday with every second Friday off. This position qualifies for a comprehensive benefits package.

We'll assist with ongoing education to keep you current in your field and the systems you need to maintain. Additionally, internal education through i-Learns will further enhance your skills. Your ability to troubleshoot and repair all systems will grow as your exposure to various sites and systems expands.

- Graduate of a recognized diploma program in Electronic Technology plus five (5) years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Industry and vendor equipment certifications as required.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License required.
Experience in Nurse call systems, access control and door operators, security systems, and BMS would be an asset.
