Job Description
Associate to have a mainframe experience of 6 or more years
Should have good knowledge on regular IMS and DB2 COBOL modules Should have good knowledge in writing JCLs SORT and ICETOOL
Should have an experience in providing design decisions solving production job failures implementing a medium to major projects into production
Should be able to investigate any emergency issues or production problems and provide updates to business and other stakeholders In case of any quick data fixes are required to address any batch job failure during night batch should be able to write quick SORTFOCUSSAS to fix the bad data and provide instructions to continue with night batch flow
Should have knowledge in creating and managing VSAM datasets and logic for reading writing data from VSAM files
Must have knowledge and experience in using the tools like JIRA Confluence Git IBM Z developer Mural Optional
Having knowledge on how to create diagram on tools like Visio Lucidchart etc is an added advantage
Must be vocal and able to work in fast paced environment
Must have past experience in deployment activities and participation in implementation planning
Onsite associate has to attend agile sessions with product owner in refining detail requirements assess the impact of the application due to new requirements provide high level estimate by sharing requirement details and discussing with offshore team
Participate in regular meetings with offshore prepare and share high level solution design as well as present the same with clients
Provide warranty support of changes deployed by monitoring daily and monthly batch flows
Work with offshore to strengthen existing knowledge transfer material or process to make it more effective
Should have an experience of using GENAI tools VS code Git copilot etc in day to day development activities"
