We are seeking a Patient Porter to join our dedicated and supportive team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. As the regional referral centre for the East Kootenay area, the hospital provides a broad range of healthcare services to patients and families from across the region. This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaborative team environment where your role directly contributes to safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care.
Your Role
As a Patient Porter, you play a vital role in supporting patient care and the smooth operation of the hospital. You will assist with the safe and timely transport of patients, including their personal belongings, equipment, specimens, and supplies, between various hospital locations in accordance with established policies and procedures. Working closely with nursing and professional staff, you will report patient observations and interactions as appropriate, and provide assistance with lifting, transferring, and positioning patients. In addition, you will help maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing clerical, cleaning, and tidying duties as needed.

This is a casual opportunity with some short-call requirements, offering flexibility to work days, evenings, and nights.
