We are SLR Consulting (Canada), a 600+ team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals across 20 office locations in Canada. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.

SLR Canada is looking for a full-time Project Manager to be based out of our Vancouver, Victoria, or Kamloops office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex and multidisciplinary environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance projects for clients in mining, energy, infrastructure, and other sectors.
  • Manage project teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and schedules are met.
  • Plan and oversee field programs with a focus on health and safety and technical quality; occasional fieldwork required.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering high-quality, fit-for-purpose environmental solutions.
  • Support Sector Leads in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base and project portfolio in western and northern Canada.
  • Contribute technical expertise to support regulatory applications, including provincial and federal environmental assessments and permitting processes.

  • The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. Final agreed-upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location. Qualifications

  • Degree in ecology, biology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant consulting experience, with a focus on resource development in western and northern Canada.
  • Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.
  • Proven project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, and team coordination.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and client relationship skills.
  • Environmental field skills (e.g., water quality, hydrogeology, fisheries).
  • Project Management Training and/or designation (PMI – PMP) an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License in British Columbia (or equivalent) with a clean driving record, and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
