Join one of the world's renowned cancer organizations. BC Cancer is looking for a General Practitioner in Oncology to join its Vernon Oncology team, at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, located in British Columbia’s beautiful Southern Interior Region.
Reporting to the Department Head of Medical Oncology at BC Cancer – Kelowna, the GPO will be part of a well-established and friendly team of Medical Oncologists and GPO’s in Vernon, and more broadly, the growing GPO network regionally and provincially, which provides excellent opportunities for networking and education.

The Successful Applicant Will
- Work with a team of specialized medical oncologists and allied health professionals at this Centre, you will participate exclusively in the care of Oncology patients.
- Participate in the treatment and follow up of patients, after curative and palliative treatment planning.
- Engage in clinical trials, as the opportunities arise.
What You Bring
- Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. (FRCP, FRCS or CCFP)
- Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer, and Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
- Eligibility for appointment to the University of British Columbia.
- In-patient and oncology experience is an asset but is not required. No previous experience in medical oncology is required; BC Cancer will support your training, involving both didactic virtual teaching, and in-clinic patient-related instruction.
