Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Intermediate QA Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team. You'll report to (and partner closely with) our Senior QA Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of software that processes millions of transactions in the parking and mobility ecosystem. You will work across manual and automated testing workflows, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to uphold high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer trust.

Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Intermediate QA Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team. You'll report to (and partner closely with) our Senior QA Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of software that processes millions of transactions in the parking and mobility ecosystem. You will work across manual and automated testing workflows, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to uphold high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated) to validate software functionality, performance, and scalability.
- Participate in sprint planning and backlog grooming to provide QA perspective and define test coverage.
- Contribute to maintaining and expanding automated test coverage using modern tools and frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to support continuous delivery.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using project management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to troubleshoot and verify resolutions.
- Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle by contributing to testing strategies and process improvements.
- Participate in retrospectives and QA health checks to refine workflows and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure features are testable and meet user expectations.
- Perform exploratory testing and user-centric reviews to uncover usability and edge-case issues.
- 2+ years of experience in software QA engineering, with a balanced mix of manual and automated testing for web and mobile platforms.
- Strong knowledge of QA fundamentals including test case design, defect tracking and regression testing.
- Proficiency in writing test cases, executing structured test plans, and documenting defects clearly.
- Experience testing web applications and APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or similar.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
- Comfortable with CI/CD platforms (e.g., CircleCI, GitHub Actions).
- Strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and an ability to think from the user's perspective.
- Clear and professional communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in an Agile team.
- Experience with Rainforest QA or similar no-code/low-code automation platforms.
- Mobile QA experience (iOS/Android).
- Familiarity with test case management tools.
